Fire Starters

Use on egg carton. Place charcoal in an egg carton and tie it shut. Just light the carton when you're ready to start a fire.

Shred birch. To start a fire in damp woods or after a downpour, find a birch tree and peel off the outer layer of bark. Shave off a cupful of the inner layer to use as tinder.

Use hand sanitizers. Hand sanitizers with a high alcohol content make great accelerants. Travel size bottles store easily and have a long shelf life
